Well it’s been another great week for me and a busy one!
On Saturday I was very honoured to attended the International Achievers Awards (IAA) at DSTRKT nightclub in W1. The dress code was all white and everyone was dressed to impress including myself in a slick white suit designed by Russian deisgner Olga Kokoeva.
I was up for four nominations and ended up winning the two that meant the most to me ‘Best TV Personality’ and ‘Best Business’ for my Hotel The Pavilion in Paddington London. Thirty themed rooms from 1970’s to Chinese!
The IAA acknowledges new talent across the U.K. In both the business sector and the entertainment fields and I met some very worthy winners on the night including the lovely and talented TV presenter and business woman Yasmine Trendy, CEO of Trendy Couture, who won ‘Female Role Model Of The Year’.
Well done to the organiser Chanise Thompson for putting on an excellent award show.
On Monday I headed down to celebrity hairdresser ‘Dar’s Blo Bar’ which is located in the gorgeous setting of the Taj Hotel near Buckingham Palace. Dar is a living legend in the hair industry, who has been cutting and styling the manes of some of the biggest names in showbiz! Everyone from Goldie Hawn to Nicole Sherzinger have felt his hands on their locks and today it was the turn of an inspiring nineteen year old student Kajal Patel,
Of her own intuition Kajal had agreed to chop off all her waist length hair for charity. Having long hair myself I know how hard this would be to do!
Her hair will be donated to make wigs for children with cancer undertaking chemotherapy and she had also raised £2000 for children with AIDS in Goa in India via personal donations.
Its people like Kajal who continue to inspire me every single day and I was more than happy to support her charity. Big shout out to my dear friend Dar also for agreeing to use his salon and planning the haircut with her.
You never know who you’re going to bump into when you’re Britain’s flashiest Playboy and this week it was talented men’s fashion designer Sumbul Ahmad . She’s putting on a fashion show at TRAMP one of of the oldest nightclubs in London. Some people in life you just hit it off with straight away and Sumbul was one of them. It seemed like I had known her for years!
So when she’ asked me to be a celebrity model to walk out with her at the end of her fashion show wearing one of her designs of course I said yes!
I look forward to that next week!
I’m away for my summer holidays after that but I’ll be back in a couple weeks to tell you all about my flashy shenanigans!
Until then ciao for now!
