Lime Street has slipped to a handy mark and looks worth siding with at 10/1 in the 2.25 at Ffos Las today.
Tom Symonds’ gelding ran as well as could be expected when third to the classy Winter Escape in a novice hurdle over 2m at Doncaster 14 months agao, travelling well for much of the contest until getting outpaced two from home and plugging on to be beaten 29 lengths.
The six-year-old backed that up with a solid third of 10 to Queito Sol on handicap debut over 2m 2f in a class 4 contest at Exeter off a mark of 104.
Lime Street kept on well to be beaten just over 2 lengths, and the winner – from whom he was receiving 5lb – has gone on to finish in the frame on three occasions since including off a rating of 117.
That gives the form a solid look in the contest of this class 5 contest and Lime Street is able to race in it off 9lb lower (95).
It gives him every chance at teh weights on the pick of his form, epecially if the fitting of the cheekpieces for the first time have teh desired effect.
The ground is also ideal and the stable has been among the winners of late.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Lime Street (10/1 bet365 – BOG)
