Desert Law is on a handy mark and makes plenty of appeal at 11/1 in the 4.55 at York today now eased in grade.
Paukl Midgley’s nine-year-old failed to get his head in front last season but did post a couple of solid efforts when fifth in the class 2 Scottish Sptint Cup at Musselburgh off 100 and third in a hot contest at the Curragh off 99.
He then took advantage of a drop in the weights to snap his long losing run when bolting up by 3 1/4 lengths on seasonal reappearance in a class 2 at Musselburgh and was also far from disgraced last time out when a two length eighth of 19 to Tithonus in the Rockingham at the Curragh.
That is a premier handicap and Desert law now drops into class 3 company off 1lb lower.
It gives him a big shout at the weights on the pick of his form and his current mark of 92 looks exploitable judged on his aformentioned efforts and given that he has been rated as high as 106 in the past.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Desert Law (11/1 bet365, BetVictor, Ladbrokes, William Hill – BOG)
