Lady Gibraltar is back down below her last winning mark and looks worth siding with at 11/1 to take advantage and score and overdue success in the 2.00 at Brighton today.

Tim Jarvis’ mare os on a long losing run having not scored since dead-heating at Goodwood back in August 2012 off a mark of 83.

However she has run a number of solid races in competitive contests, including when runner-up to Dungannon in a 16-runner class 3 handicap at Ascot last September off 88 and a decent seventh of 15 to Steps in a Listed contest at the same venue.

The five-year-old also ran well on seasonal reappearance when sixth of 19 to Monsieur Joe in a class 2 contest at York off 89, and now gets into this lower grade class 4 contest off 81.

That means she is now 2lb lower than when last successful and running off hre lowest rating in over two years.

It goves her every chnace at the weights in what is a weak looking contest, especially if the fitting of the first time blinkers hve the desired effect.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Lady Gibraltar (11/1 Betfred – BOG)
