Dark Power shaped quite nicely on seasonal reappearance and looks worth an each-way punt at 12/1 in the 6.30 at Windsor today.
Clive Cox’s chrage ran as if needing the outing, his first in 224 days, when a tenderly handled 7 1/4 length eight of 13 to Ice Age in a class 2 contest at Newbury.
He has since been dropped 1lb and is able to race in this lower grade class 3 affair off 88 – just 3lb higher than when last successful at Leicester 12 months ago.
He is also 1-2 in the grade, has won three of his eight starts, and looks the type to progress further.
The tongue-strap also now goes back on and he sported it when landing back-to-back successes last season.
Another plus is that Adam Kirby, who is three from four on him, is back in the plate.
With the yard also back among the winners of late he looks capable of outrunning his odds and weighted to play a major role in this if building on his comeback effort.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Dark Power (12/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
