See The Sun bounced back to his best last time out and makes plenty of appeal at 12/1 in the 2.30 at York today now fitted with the visor for the first time.

Tim Easterby’s charge won a valuable 20-runner three-year-old contest over 6f at this track in June, where he made all and stayed on strongly to beat Naadirr by a neck off a mark of 90.

The runner-up has gone on to land a listed contest at York off an official rating of 108, and the third home Kickboxer has scored twice since and is now rated 101.

That gives the form a strong look, and See The Sun was then far from disgraced on soft ground at Newmarket when sixth of 19 to Deeds Not Words of a revised mark of 97 before occupying the same position behind the now 108-rated Muthmir in the 19-runner Skybet Dash at York over 6f.

See The Sun then ran slightly below par but better than his finishing posotion suggests in his next two starts, before finishing an excellent third of 15 to High On Life in a class 2 contest at Haydock 13 days ago.

He travelled strongly for much of the 5f contest and held every chance a furlong from home before weakening late on to be beaten 3 lengths, and now gets into this lower grade class 3 contest off the saem mark of 93.

That is just 3lb higher than when last scoring at this venue, and makes him look nicely treated on the pick of his form.

See The Sun is also versatile as far as going is concerned and handles cut in the ground, and if the fitting of the headgear has the desired effect he should be bang there at the business end of affairs.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way See The Sun (12/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
