Racquet is on a handy markat present and with underfoot conditions in his favour looks worth a wager at 15/2 in the 5.05 at Windsor today.
Ruth Carr’s five-year-old was placed over course and distance back in 2016 off a rating of 74 and notched the first of two successes this year when when rallying to beat Celerity by 3/4 of a length at Wetherby on soft ground off a mark of 58 in April when the front two pulled 4 lengths clear of the field.
Racquet got put up to 61 for that and struggled in his next six starts before landing a 15-runner contest on good-to-soft ground at Thirsk off 52.
He is now abel to race in this class 6 affair off just 2lb higher and has a 24 per cent 24 strike rate in the grade.
It gives him a big shout from a handicapping perspective on the pick of his form and he looks to have more going for him than most in this.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Racquet (15/2 bet365, BetVictor – BOG)
