Dal Harraild looks fairly treated in the 5.05 at Sandown today and worth siding with at 20/1.

Willima Haggas’s charge progressed well in four starts as a juvenil,e coming good at the third time of asking when scoing readily by a length at Haydock.

He then rounded off the camapigh with a solid second to Viren’s Army in a nursery at Nottingham when going down by a neck off a mark of 83.

Dal Harraild lost ground after dewlling at the start, but looked the liekly winner when making good hewday to take up the running approaching the final furlong before getting collared close home.

The winner, from whom he was receiving 3lb, has since gone on to be placed in a Group 3 in Italy and ran a blinder in the Investec Derby Trial earlier in the week when third to So Mi Dar off an official rating of 98.

That gives the form a strong look and suggests that Dal Harraild’s revised rating of 87 should not be beyond him.

The selection also seemed to lack concentration last season, and has since been gelded.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Dal Harraild (20/1 Betfred, BetVictor – BOG)
