Buonarroti is back down below his last winning markl and looks worth an each-way bet at 22/1 in the 4.25 at Doncaster today.
Declan Carroll’s charge is not the easiest to win with but came good at this time last year after some uninsipring efforts.
After finishing a neck second at Ayr he went on better when bolting up by 2 3/4 lengths in a class 4 contest at the same venue off a mark of 82.
He was also far fronm disgraced in his next two starts in class 2 company at Haydock and Doncater when finhsing fifth and fourth respectively and is now able to race in this class 4 affair off a reduced rating of 78.
That gives him a big shout at the weights on the pick of his form and he ran well three starts back at Hamilton when beaten 1 3/4 lengths into fourth off 3lb higher and shaped a bit better than the bare result suggests last time out when a 6 1/4 length 11th to Dance King in the Cunberland Plate at Carlisle.
In the last two seasons he has needed around half a dozen runs before posting improved efforts so at the odds on offer he looks potentially too well-treated to ignore if continuing that trait.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Buonarroti (22/1 BetVictor, Coral, Ladbrokes – BOG)
