The son of Excellent art was then off the track until making his seasonal reappearance at Chepstow at the beginning of this month and after being held up off the pace kept on steadily to finish a never nearer 5th of 12 to Sharp And Smart.
He looked in need of the run that day, and shaped as if that was the case in the race itself.
That outing should have blown way the cobwebs, and if that’s the case he doesn’t look badly treated in this of 65 now returned to the all-weather surface.
