Pillard has slipped to a handy mark and looks worth a punt at 7/1 in the 4.25 at Cheltenham today.
The gelding had some fairly useful form over h8urdles in France and ran wellt o finish runner-up on his first two starts in this country for Jonjo O’Neill.
He also ran well when fourth of 10 to Duke Street in a class 2 handicap at Newbury off a mark of 129 and shape well last time out when a staying on 6 length third to Ryeolliean at Huntington off 123.
Ryeolliean, to whom he was conceding 13lb, has won again since and the runner-up Political Quiz went into the race in fine form having won two of his previous three starts.
It gives the form a solid look and Pillard has since been dropped another 3lb to 120.
That makes him well treated on the pick of his form in this class 3 contest and the yard is also in fine form at present.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Pillard (7/1 bet365, BetVictor, Sky Bet – BOG)
