Glastonberry is back down below her last winning mark and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1 in the 3.10 at Lingfield today now eased in grade.

Geoffrey Deacon’s mare is a five-time winner on the all-weather surface, including over course and distance, and four of those successes have come over this afternoon’s trip of 6f.

The seven-year-old was last successful at Kempton last March when bearing Mac’s Power by a head in a class 4 contest off 76, and now gets into this lower grade class 5 affair off 75.

That gives Glastonberry every chance from a handicapping perspective, and she looks sure to strip much fitter for her recent comeback run at this track after 189 days on the sidelines when finishing a not knocked about sixth of 8 to Shyron over 7f.

The drop back in trip today looks sure to suit, and her last four runs in this grade read 1222.

Glastonberry should also get the strong pace she needs to be seen at her best, and with Chris Catlin in the saddle everything looks in place for a huge run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Glastonberry (8/1 BetVictor, Boylesports, Stan James, William Hill – BOG)
