Jolly Boys Outing is dangerously well-treated at present and looks worth a wager at 8/1 in the 4.45 at Towcester today.

Rosemary Gasson’s gelding is a dual winner over course and distance, with the last of those successes coming back in March 2012 where he beat Craiglands by 11 lengths off a mark of 97.

The 11-year-old got put up to 108 for that success, but ran well over it when runner-up at Exeter next time up.

Since then his form has been very hit and miss, and it’s fair to say that he had a very disapoiting 2013.

However his mark has fallen dramatically as a result, and he now gets into this off a a career-low of just 73.

That is 24lb lower than when last successful and gives him major claims at the weights on the pick of his form.

Jolly Boys Outing also showed that all was not lost when twice finishing fourth over course and distance back in the spring and has since been given a summer break.

If that has freshened him up, then he is simply too well-treated to ignore at a track which he runs well.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Jolly Boys Outing (8/1 BetVictor, Paddy Power – BOG)
