African Trader makes plenty of appeal at Yarmouth

Posted on by Dave Metcalf

African Trader looks worth an each-way wager at 7/1 in the 4.45 at Yarmouth today now switched back to the turf.

Mark Loughnane”s charge has only had four starts and shaped quite nicely on debut when a not knocked about 7 1/2 length ninth of 13 to the now 101-rated Edward Lewis at Doncaster.

He backed that up with a fair third to Zwayyan at Beverley when keeping on to be beaten 6 1/4 lengths.

The winner has won tiwce since to be rated 85 and the second home Thundering Blue has run some solid races to be placed off 75.

African Trader was not at his best in his final two starts, including when well beaten on handicap debut on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton off 65.

However, he has since been gelded is now able to race off 3lb lower that looks exploitable judged on his first two starts.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win African Trader (7/1 bet365 – BOG)
