Airforce fancied to Power home at Crayford

Posted on by Dave Metcalf

Some decent live Open race action from Crayford tonight on Racing Post Greyhound Tv (Sky 212) and there are four dogs that look value punts at the odds on offer.

The first is Trap 6 Hear Me Right who runs in the 8.02pm looks to have a decent make-up as the sole wide seed.

The daughter of Ace High Rumble has plenty of pace when timing it right at the lids as she showed when chasing home the classy Jaytee Monroe over 750m at Romford in December.

She led at the second that day until getting picked off at the eighth bend to be beaten just 1 3/4 lengths, and the winner has some top class form to here name and ran with great credit to finish fourth to Reel Tricky One in the Cornonation Cup.

If the selection shows the pace that she did that day in this she is capable of leading at the first bend, and she is going to take some pegging back over the 714m trip.

The obvious danger is the jolly Young Scolari in Trap 4, but he has a habit of finding trouble and has never won from the black jacket.

That makes him look worth opposing at a skinny looking best of 11/8, and Hear Me Right looks good value at 5/1 to lower his colours and land the spoils.

In the 8.18pm Trap 3 Airforce Power looks to hold all the aces and rates a solid bet at 5/2.

Ricky Holloway’s dog comes into this on the back of two A1 runs at Wimbledon and has bags of early pace which he can use to good effect from the “ping box”.

He also has a win over course and distance to his name, and has clocked sub 13 seccond sectionals on each occasion.

A similar break tonight should see him lead at the first and it should then be a case of game over.

In the 8.34pm Trap 6 Jaytee Monroe looks worth siding with at 3/1 in what looks a straight match with the market leader Lenson Pele.

Paul Young’s daughter of Kinloch Brae is a classy sort is tough to beat when getting it right at the lids.

She has pace as well as stamina, and as the sole wide seed looks assured of a clear run to the first bend.

If she can turn handy or even lead-up the favourite on her inside she will be in an ideal position to bring her back straight pace into play and unlike Pele there are no question doubts regarding stamina.

The final one I like is Trap 6 Bubbly Rossie who runs in the 9.40pm and looks massively overpriced at 7/2 with bet365.

Paul Young’s dog finished in front of the favourite Sidirian Jaguar when they met at Romford ladt month and on his last visit to this track ran a cracker to finish second to Fernhill Fury.

The son of Burnpark Champ produced a 12.96 sectional that day before going down by just a length and if he can ping the lids in this I can see him leading up Jaguar to the first bend and it will then be a case of catch me if you can.

I had him priced up at around the 9/4 mark for this, so the 7/2 on offer looks way too big and should be snapped up.

Daily Sport recommended bets:
