Altesse De Guye caught the eye on seasonal reapperance and looks worth siding with at 8/1 in the 3.05 at Cheltenham today.

Martin Keighley’s mare was last successful over 3m at this venue back in April when staying on strongly to beat Anteros – who won a valuable Listed contest at the track yesterday in terrific stryle – by 1/2 a length off a mark of 113.

Altesse De Guye is now able to race off just 2lb higher having shaped really well on return to action at over course and distance last month when fifth of 16 to Midnight Shot.

After being held-up well off the pace and making a couple of mistakes the six-year-old stayde on nicely to be nearest at the finish and beaten 12 lengths.

That should have blown away the cobwebs and put her spot on for this and on the pikc of her form Altesse De Guye looks weighted to run a huge race at a track which clearly plays to hger strengths.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Altesse De Guye (8/1 Coral, Stan James, Paddy Power – BOG)
