At First Light is back down below her last winning mark and looks worth an each-way wager at 12/1 in the 2.45 at Chepstow today.
David Weston’s mare won her bumper Ffos Las and has since gone on to win four of her 17 starts over hurdles.
In the last of tose at Fontwell she made most and rallied gamely to beat Tambura by 3/4 of a length off a mark of 112 on heavy ground.
The eight-year-old backed that up with a solid fourth of 13 to Briery Queen in a valuable Listed class 1 contest at Newbury off 120 where she was beaten jusy 9 1/2 lengths by a mare now rated 144.
That is very strong form in relation to this class 3 contest and At First Light is able torace in it off 110, 2lb lower than when last successful, having shaped quite nicely at Ffos Las last time out when fourth after a break.
If coming on for that run she looks weighted to run a big race on ground which will hold no fears
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way At First Light (12/1 BetVictor, Coral, Ladbrokes – BOG)
