Ayaar has some strong form to his name and looks worth siding with at 7/1 in the 4.55 at Doncaster today now eased slightly in class.

Luca Cumani’s charge has a potent tunr of foot when on-song, as he showed when impressively winning the Spring Cup at Newburt on seasonal reappearance.

The five-year-old tanked along throughout and after cruising into contention on the bit two from hoem quickend clear and stayed on strongly to score by an easy 2 lengths off a mark of 96.

He has since been far from disgraced in three very hot handicaps, and the assessor has dropped him 1lb to 101 since the last of those.

That should enable him to be very competitive in a race which isn’t as strong as those that he has been contesting, and he is pretty versatile as regards going.

This track should also play to his strengths, and with William Buick in the saddle everything points to a huge run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Ayaar (7/1 Paddy Power – BOG)
