Baggies value at 11/4 to beat Bolton

Bolton need to beat West Brom today (2pm KO) to stand any chance of survival, but at the odds on offer the Baggies have to be the bet at 11/4 to put another nail in their relegation coffin.

The homes side were dreadful in defence against Spurs in midweek, and unless they tighten things up significantly it is likely to cost them dear yet again.

Owen Coyle’s men face a really tough trip on the final day of the season to “Fortress Britannia” to take on Stoke, and this is a do or die game for them.

They are sure to be up for it, but face a side who have a decent record on the road.

OK, they have been beaten 7 times on their travels but those losses have been against Man City, Everton, Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal, Swansea and Chelsea.

They have beaten Norwich, Aston Villa, Blackburn, Newcastle, Stoke, Wolves and Liverpool and a repeat of any of those efforts would more than suffice.

It’s true that they weren’t at their best when beaten by Villa last time out, but prior to that they had landed back-to-back victories – including a 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield.

To me there is no way that Bolton should be as short as even money for this, and at 11/4 with Ladbrokes and Stan James the visitors look terrific value.
