Balti’s Sister has been shaping as if her time is near and rates a solid bet at 11/4 in the 5.00 at Beverley.
Mick Easterby’s charge was given too much to do at Doncaster 9 days ago when staying on under tender handling to finish a close up fourth of 12 to ick slates over 7f.
Before that she had gone down just a length to Viking Warrior over 7f in the mud at Catterick after being forced to switch at a vital stage.
She kept on really strongly at the death, and runs off just a 1lb higher mark today.
The filly now races off 55 having started life off in handicpas on 64 after winning her maiden on the all-weather at Wolverhampton last July and there is little doubt that she is very well weighted on the form she showed when fourth to Sovereign Debt on her debut as a juvenile at this track.
That race has thrown up a whole host of subsequent winners and the winner recently scored at Ascot off a mark of 90 and is now rated 100.
She is certainly weighted to strike, and it’s interesting that connectiosn are dropping her back to the minimum trip this afternoon.
Her stamina will be a major asset in the forecast testing ground, and with plenty of front runners liekly to cut each others throast upfront it’s likely to be set up for a closer like her.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Balti’s Sister (11/4 Stan James, Sky Bet)
