Berlusca has a good record at Wolverhampton and looks worth siding with at 6/1 in the 3.45 there today.

David O’Meara’s gelding is a six-time winner at the track, and five of those successes have come over this afternoon’s 1m 1f trip.

The six-year-old was last successful when dead-heating over CD back in January off a mark of 82, and has shaped as well in his last two starts after a break.

In the first of those Berlusca kept on well to be beaten 2 lengths by Finn Class at Haydock off his current mark of 84, and he backed that up with a solid sixth of 17 to Barreesh in a decent contset at York last time out.

Those runs suggest that his team in near, and the return to this venue is a big plus.

Berlusca also has the services of Josh Doyle in the saddle whose claims takes off 7lb, and on the pick of his form doesn’t look badly treated.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Berlusca (6/1 bet365, BetVictor, William Hill – BOG)
