Bosham has a tremendous strike rate at Chelmsford and looks worth a bet at 5/1 to further enhance it with victory in the 7.30 there today.
Mick Easterby’s eight year-old has won five of his 12 starts over course and distance, and is a six-timer winner at the venue overall.
In the last of those successes back in May he blasted out in his customary style and made all to win unchallenged by 1 1/2 lengths from Poyle Vinnie in a class 3 off a mark of 80.
Bosham then ran well off his current rating of 86 when a 2 3/4 length third to Tropics in a class 2 over course and distance.
That form reads well now in relation to this class 3 affair and Bosham has a 43 per cent strike rate in the grade having won three of his svene starts in it.
He is also well-drawn to attack in stall three and goes well for Harrison Shaw who takes off a handy 5lb with his claim.
So taking eveything into account, and with the favourite Island Of Life having been withdrawn this morning, Bosham has plenty going for him in this and rates the standout bet on the card.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Bosham (5/1 Betfair, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, William Hill – BOG)
