German light-heavyweight Jurgen Braehmer 39-2, 30 KO’s says he has 100% focus on European title challenger Tony Averlant 18-7-2, 4 KO’s and WBO champ Nathan Cleverly hasn’t even crossed his mind in his preparation. The popular fighter who gets it on with Averlant tomorrow night at the Sporthalle in Hamburg is the mandatory challenger for the Welsh WBO champ next.
“I am physically and mentally at the height of my ability. I am not thinking about Nathan Cleverly and the WBO World Championship. My focus is completely on my current challenge and that is Tony Averlant!” Braehmer told DAILY SPORT boxing.
Promoter Kalle Sauerland said “Overall, we will have eight fights on our show this Saturday. Besides the three title fights, I am most excited about Firat Arslan’s outing for our promotion inside the ring. If he beats Varol Vekiloglu, he will very well get another world title shot later this year.”
