Champion Chase shaped really well last time out and rates a solid bet at 5/2 on handicap debut in the 4.30 at Warwick today.
The gelding finsihed runner-up in an Irish pint and failed to sparkle on his first two starts after joining Kim Bailey.
However, there was much more to like about his run a Lingdfield 20 days agio when a 7 1/4 length third to Groundunderrepair at Lingfield.
The five-year-old travelled strongly off the pace before making good headway two from home.
He then made a mistake at the last when challenging for second place and weakening on the run-in.
Champion Chase was not unduly kncoked about and the winner has some fair form to his name going into the race and was rated 113.
The selection also pulled 34 lengths clear of the fourth home who was rated 101 and looks the type who should have plenty mo0re to offer now going down the handicapping route.
An opening mark of 101 may seriosuly underestiamte his ability and with teh yard in decent nick he rates the standout bet on the card.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 5pts win Champion Chase (5/2 BetVictor, Ladbrokes, Sky Bet – BOG)
