Chelsea 1/6 to make Champions League semi-finals

Posted on by Tom Warrington

William Hill make Chelsea 1/6 shots qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions League after a battling display to beat Benfica 1-0 at the Stadium Of Light.

Salomon Kalou’s second-half strike was enough to win last night’s game for the Blues after Roberto Di Matteo who left out Frank Lampard, Michael Essien and Didier Drogba.

Fernando Torres got the nod up front and it was his run and cross that set up the match-winner for Kalou in the 75th minute.

Chelsea were trimmed to 8/1 from 10s generally for the trophy. If they do make it through to the semis they face either AC Milan or Barcelona.

In the night’s other match Real Madrid had to wait until the 74th minute to open the scoring but they eventually ran out easy 3-0 winners.

They were cut to 6/4 for the trophy by Ladbrokes, although you can stull get 2/1 in plenty of places.
