Chelsea cut to 12s for Champions League glory

Posted on by Tom Warrington

Chelsea have had their Champions League outright odds slashed to a top priced 12/1 after securing a place in the quarter-finals with a 5-4 aggregate win over Napoli.

The Blues were 15/8 to qualify heading into the second leg trailing 3-1 from their trip to Italy, but booked their place in the final eight with a 4-1 win after extra-time at Stamford Bridge last night.

A third successive win for Roberto Di Matteo since taking the reins until the end of the season has seen him cut from 8/1 to 6/1 to be in charge come the first game of the 2012/13 season.

Chelsea were joined in the quarter-finals by Real Madrid, who progressed 5-2 on aggregate thanks to a 4-1 win over CSKA Moscow at the Bernabeu, prompting the online bookmaker to cut the La Liga leaders from 5/2 to 12/5.
