Cheque En Blanc looks worth an each-way punt at 12/1 in the 4.00 at Wetherby today now dropped vack down in grade and retruned to a better surface.

The gelding was a French bumper winner and has shown progressive form in three runs over hurdles for Tom Symonds pripor to being pulled-up in a class 3 handicap at Sandown last time out when seny off 7/1 and making a bad error at the third before being pulled-up on bottomless ground.

After finishing a not kncoked about sixth of 14 to the well-regraded Report to Base at Uttoceter the five-year-old posted a similar effort when eight of 13 to Lisheen Pirnce at Ffos Las.

He then put in a much improved effort on handicap debut in a class 4 contest at Hungtingdon, leading two from home before getting headed before the last and weakening late on to finish a 3 1/4 length fourth of 10 to Wicked Willy off a mark of 104 on good-to-soft ground.

That run suggested his current mark was exploitable and he now drops back down to class 4 company yet can be backed at nearly double ouble the odds he was last time in a higher grade.

It makes him look overpriced and worth another chance to buiuld on his Huntingdon effort, especially with teh ground now much more in his favour.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Cheque En Blanc (12/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
