Cheque En Blanc looks worth an each-way punt at 12/1 in the 1.55 at Ffos today now dropped in grade and returned to a better surface.
The gelding was a French bumper winner and had shown progressive form in three runs over hurdles for Tom Symonds prior to being pulled-up in a class 3 handicap at Sandown and a class 4 contest at Wetherby on his last two outings.
After finishing a not knocked about sixth of 14 to the well-regarded Report to Base at Uttoxeter the five-year-old posted a similar effort when eight of 13 to Lisheen Pirnce at this venue
He then put in a much improved effort on handicap debut in a class 4 contest at Hungtingdon, leading two from home before getting headed before the last and weakening late on to finish a 3 1/4 length fourth of 10 to Wicked Willy off a mark of 104 on good-to-soft ground.
Cheque En Blanc is now able to race off 102 and that looks exploitable now that he drops down into class 5 company.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Cheque En Blanc (12/1 Ladbrokes – BOG)
