The well-treated Hee Haw is strongly fancied at 4/1 to cash-in on a drop in class to land the spoils in the 3.40 at Haydock today.
Paul Midgley’s charge was last successfukl in a class 4 at Ripon 12 months ago when scoring by a length off a mark of 79 wne went on to round off the campaign with a third in the same grade at Pontefract off 84.
He is now able to race off a reduced rating of 71 – 8lb lower than when last victorious – and comes into the race on the back of two solid efforts.
After finishing third at Hamilton he was beaten just 3 1/2 lengths when seventh of 19 to Quick Look in a competitive class 4 at York.
Those runs suggest that he is coming to the boil and his time is near, and having raced in class 3/4 company all season he now drops down into a class 5.
Hee Haw has won twice and been placed once in four starts in the grade, so it gives him outstanding claims at the weights.
The cheekpieces also go on for the first time and this looks a good opportunity for him to get back on the scoresheet.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Hee Haw (4/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
