Shady McCoy is on a handy mark at present and makes plenty of appeal at 5/1 in the 2.00 at Ascot today now dropped significantly in grade.

However, he has posted some solid efforts including when an unlucky in-running fast finishing fourth of 24 to Fastnet Tempest in the class 2 Victoria Cup over course and distance off 89.

Shady McCoy was also far far disgarced when eighth of 27 to Stamp Hill in the International Stakes agt this venue and shaped better than the bare result suggest over course and distbnace last time out when a 4 1/4 length 10th of 19 to Remarkable having travelled well for much of the contest.

He has since been dropped another 2lb to a mark of 85 and that makes him a huge player at the weights.

Shady McCoy also drops class 4 company for the first time in two years and has a 30 per cent in the grade, as well as Ryan Moore im the saddle for the first time.
