Cloudy Copper returns to fences off a dangerous mark in the 3.40 at Ffos Las today and rates a solid bet at 7/2.

Jonjo O’Neill’s charge looked an exciting prospect when winning his first two starts over hurdles in 2012/13, and ran very well to finish runner-up in his first two starts over fences after 696 days on the sidelines.

In the latter of those he chased home Leo Louba at Lingfield on heavy ground off an official rating of 138.

Cloudy Copper also ran well three starts back at this venue when runner-up to Bob Ford off 130, and shaped nicely last time out when third over hurdles following a break.

That should have blown away the cobwebs and put himspot on for this, and he is now able to race off a career-low mark of just 124.

It gives him outsnading claims at the weights on the pick of his form, and with the ground fine and Noel Fehily in the saddle this looks a golden opportunity for Cloudy Copper to open his chasing account.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Cloudy Copper (7/2 Betfred, Paddy Power – BOG)
