Clumber Place has plummeted in the weights and with conditions to suit looks overpriced at 12/1 in the 5.10 at Carlisle.
The six-year-old has not scored since landing a four-timer back in 2010, but her last win that streak came at Newmarket off a rating of 71 and she is now running off just 61.
That gives her a tremendous chance from a handicapping perspective, especially as her best runs have come with cut in the ground.
James Givens’ mare has also shaped as if she could be coming back to form in her last three starts after a lengthy spell in the doldrums.
She showed plenty of dash to lead until being collared close home and beaten just over 2 lengths when finishing 4th of 8 to Steel Stockholder at Thirsk and then stayed on well to finish 5th of 14 to Hayek at Chester having been held up off the pace.
The daughter of Compton Place was then never placed to challenge last time out when fifth of 10 at Catterick, but she was forced to race wide that day in a contest in which nothing went to plan and is definitely worth another chance.
Five of her six career wins have come over today’s trip, and with Joe Fanning in the saddle it would be no surprise to see her bounce back to form and run a huge race.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Clumber Place (12/1 BetVictor – BOG)
