Colby looks to have got in lightly on handicap debut in the 1.40 at Catterick today and is of major interest at 2/1.

Cheis Grant’s cjarge has only had three starts over hurdles and shown improved form on eaah outing.

He ran a blinder in the last of those at Sedgefield last month when failing by just a short-head to overhaul Ask Paddington in a 10-runner maiden.

The winner went into the race rated 107 and the third home Morraman has since come out and wo easily by seven lengths off an official rating of 109.

Sheriff Garrett, who came fourth, has also gone on to taste success having bolted up by 12 lengths in a handicap at Hexham off 108, whilst the fifth home Speey Cargo finished a decent 1/2 length second next time up.

That gives the form a rock solid look in relation to this class 4 affair and suggests and opening mark of 110 for Coby could seriously underestimate his ability.

He is also one og the least exposed in the line-up and open to stacks more improvement so this looks a great opening for him to get off the mark.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 5pts win Colby (2/1 BetVictor, William Hill – BOG)
