Mark Wallis totally dominated in last night’s semi-finals of the Coral Coronation Cup at Romford, winning all three and getting four through to the final.
The Champion trainer kicked off a tremendous night with a one/two in the opening semi in which Jazz Tilly showed listering early pace to beat Reel Trickyone by 4 1/2 in a time of 35.30.
The runner-up putting in a cracking effort to qualify after getting bumped the the first bend, showing good back straight pace and determination to stay on for the runner-up spot behind the impressive winner.
The in-form Hometown Honey then made all in the second semi to beat Farloe Smurfette by 5 1/2 lengths in 35.26 in what was arguably the performance of the night.
The final leg of the 48/1 Wallis treble was then completed in facile fashion by Aayamzamodel who again showed blistering early pace from the boxes to lead her rivals a merry dance and beat Tambourine Man by 4 lengths in a time of 35.40.
The final will take place next Tuesday – Live on Sky Sports – and the sponsors make Aayamzamodel their 2/1 favourite.
However for me, the sole wide seed Hometown Honey looks to have the plot draw in Trap 6 and rates the one to be on at 3/1 with Paddy Power.
Full final draw:
T1 Jazz Tilly
T2 Farloe Smurfette
T4 Tambourine Man
T5 Reel Trickyone
T6 Hometown Honey
