DickinsonEnglish light-heavyweight champ Travis Dickinson says he’ll set the town alight when he defends his title on Saturday night [May 17] at Leeds town hall in the MaxiNutrition Knockout Semi-Finals.

Dickinson who is up against Matty Clarkson told DAILY SPORT Boxing “This is a massive competition on terrestrial television, so to win it would be excellent and will put me in a position for even better things,

“George Groves would be a good fight to have again in the future, I’m the only person to beat him in England as an amateur I think it was, so obviously he won’t like that will he!?

“I’ve beaten him on points the first time and I stopped him in the first round the second time.

“I have the power to hurt him, every time I hit him I hurt him and I’d beat him again – I would love to fight him again now as a professional and maybe one day that can happen, maybe at a catch weight, hopefully one day we will get it on.

“I’m sure he’d want to try and avenge the only person that’s knocked him out, so if I want to get to that level the MaxiNutrition Knockout is the perfect platform.”
