Diva ready to deliver at Wolves

Lucky Diva looks to have been found a golden opportunity to score her third career success in the 2.50 at Wolverhampton and makes plenty of appeal at 100/30.

Bill Turner’s mare last scored at Bath off a mark of 50 last August when keeping on strongly to beat Viviani by 3/4 of a length, but she has run creditably on all her starts since.

She finished a good second to Dream catcher here three starts ago over 2m1 1f off a mark of 53 and ran far better than her finishing position suggests when coming 5th of 9 to Fantino here four days ago over the same trip.

The race was not run to suit the five-year-old that day and after making good headway from the rear two from home she could find the change of gear needed a furlong home to get competitive.

However she was not knocked about, and to me it suggested that she was nearing her peak and ready to go in again.

It was her second run back after a 102 day lay-off, and she should now be cheery ripe to do herself justice.

Although she is not well handicapped on paper off a mark of 55, this is an extremely weak race and I think that the drop back in trip to 1m 6f will be in her favour.

Vertreux and Cloudy Star appear to the the only ones that she has to beat, and both of those rivals have attitude problems and are extremely hard to win with.

So given that a line can be put through every other runner in the field, this looks a gilt edged opportunity for the genuine Lucky Diva to get her head in front where it matters.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Lucky Diva (100/30 generally available – use BOG firms)
