Draw value at 7/2 in England v Scotland clash

England go head-to-head with Scotland for the first time in 14 years at Wembley tonight (8pm KO, Live on ITV1) and the draw looks worth a punt at the 7/2 generally on offer.

The Three Lions are an incredibly short top priced 4/9, with Scotland seemingly written off by the bookmakers at 15/2 to beat their arch rivals.

The prices seem to have been based on the fact that England have beaten Spain, Italy and Brazil in the last two years.

But they also failed to beat the Republic of Ireland back in May when sent off at simalarly prohibitive odds when playing very poorly, and had also been disappoiting in their previous game when drawing 1-1 with Montenegro.

Roy Hodgson’s men have now drawn their last three matches, and with the likes of Wilthsire and Rooney likely to be missing from the line-up and Carrick already ruled out there are reasons to believe that scotland can grab a share of the spoils.

They come into this on the back of a solid 1-0 win over Croatia in Serbia back June, and their players are arguably going to be up for this more than England’s.

I can see them getting stuck into this and playing with less fear than the vast majority of England players who will be keen to avoid injury ahead of the start of the Premir League this weekend, and at the odds on offer that makes the draw the most attractive wager in this.

For those that like to play the correct score market I would plump for 1-1, an outcome which is a top priced 9/1 with BetVictor, Hills and Ladbrokes.
