Entihaa has shaped really well in his last two starts and makes plenty of appeal at 14/1 in the 5.00 at York today.
Alan Swinbank’s charge is lightly raced for a six-year-old, and his sole success in 13 starts came at Thirsk over 1m 4f back in 2012 where he stayed on well from off the pace to beat Flying Power by 3/4 off a mark of 75.
He went on to run a cracker on his reappearance last year when beaten just a head by Itlaaq in a class 2 contest at Thirsk over 1m 4f off 78 and got put up to 81 for that effort.
The gelding then failed to trouble the judge in his next four starts, but his handicap mark fell as a result and he shaped as if he could be ready to take advantage when an eye-catching third of 10 to Forced Family Fun at Newcastle on his first run this season.
Although beaten 6 1/2 lengths, he stayed on nicely from off the pace in the 1m 4f contest after being slowly away at the start and was not knocked about.
The six-year-old then built on that effort last time out when upped in trip to 1m 6f at Nottingham and finding only Hassle 1/2 a length too good.
The pair finished 3 1/2 lengths clear of the third and the winner has franked the form by scoring again off a mark of 85.
The selection has been put up 2lb for that effort to 77, but he is still just 2lb above his last winning mark and looks well weighted on the pick of his form.
The further step up in trip to 2m this afternoon may also bring about further improvement, and with the stable in good form Entihaa looks cracking each-way value at the odds on offer.
