Finaghy Ayr looks nicely treated on the pick of his form and worth a punt in the 2.25 at Carlisle today.
Ian Duncan’s charge ahs won two of his three starts at the track and was last successful over course and distance back in February when staying on strongly to score by a length off a mark of 95 on soft ground.
He backed that up with a solid head second to Kilbree Chief on heavy going at Ayr off 102 and is now able to race off 99.
That looks exploitable and he comes into the race having shaped a bit better than the bare resul suggests last time out when a not knocked about fifth of nine at Ayr.
Finaghy Ayr clearly needed the run after 226 days on the sidelines and it should have sharpened him up ahead of this assignment.
The testing condoitions will hold no fears and he looks to have plenty going for him off what looks a nice racing weight.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Finaghy Ayr (15/2 Betfred, William Hill – BOG)
