Get Me Out Of Here is the class act in the Coral Cup at Cheltnham (4.00) and at 10/1 looks the one they all have to beat.
Jonjo O’Neill’s gelding looked an unlucky loser last time out in the valuable Betfair Hurdle at Newbury where he went down by just 1 1/4 lengths to Zarkandar having been badly hampered by the fall of Darlan two out.
The winner went on to finish a fine staying on fifth to Rock On Ruby in yesterday’s Champion Hurdle and the form looks rock solid in the context of this race.
The selection had previously been beaten just 1 3/4 lengths by the very classy Oscar Whisky in the Grade 2 Relkeel Hurdle over course and distance, and that one is considered a live challenger to the brilliant Big Buck’s in tomorrow’s World Hurdle.
He travelled with plenty of zest that day and threw down a determined challenge after the last before hanging to his left and being unable to find any extra close home.
To me he doesn’t look badly treated off a mark of 155 on those runs despite having to shoulder top weight.
The eight-year-old certainly deserves to win a race of this nature after just being touched off in last year’s County Hurdle, and his shrewd connections showed yesterday with Alfie Sherrin that when it comes to getting one right fior big handicaps they have no peers.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Get Me Out Of Here (10/1 Hills – BOG)
