Ted’s Brother has slipped to a handy mark and makes plenty of appeal at 6/1 in the 4.50 at Doncaster today.

Richard Guest’s gelding is a tough an d consistent sort who scored twice last year during a busy campaign.

In the last of those successes the seven-year-old syaed on strongly to beat Simply Shining by a neck in a 1m contest at Nottingham on quick ground off a mark of 72.

He is now able to race off 6lb lower, having shaped as if coming to hand in his last two runs.

In the first of those, Ted’s Brother kepy on nicely to be beaten just 1 1/2 lengths by Shahdaroba over 1m at Nottingham.

He then ran bettre than the bare result suggests last time out at York when dropped down to 7f and finishing seventh of 15 to Westwood Hoe when slowly away before staying on to be beaten just over 6 lengths without being unduly knocked about.

The third and fifth home, Breakable and Naosie, have both come out and won since to give the form a solid look and Ted’s Brother looks sure to appreciate the step back up a mile this afternoon.

Ted’s Brother is also versatile as regards ground, and with three runs now under his belt should the Ontoawinner owned gelding should be spot on to do himself justice.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Ted’s Brother (6/1 bet365, Boylesports – BOG)
