Glorious Artist has shaped with plenty of promise in three maiden runs and can cash-in on what looks a handy mark to make a winning handicap debut in the 3.20 at Yarmouth today.

Charlie Hills’ colt particularly caught the eye on his penumtimate outing when keeping on nicely under tender handling to finish a 2 1/4 length fourth to Majest in a decent maiden at Newbury.

He backed that up with a solid fourth last time out at Pontefract when making good late headway to be nearest at the finish and beaten 1 3/4 length by Perfect Madge having not been given the brest of rides by Graham Lee.

The winner has since come out and run a solid race to finish sixth of 18 in a competituve class 2 nursery at York off 81 and that makes an opening mark of 80 look potentially on the lenient side for Glorious Artist in this class 4 contest.

The two-year-old laso looks to have been brought along with handicaps in mind and has the szie and scope to keep on improving.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Glorious Artist (4/1 bet365, BetVictor, Stan James – BOG)
