Dandy Highwayman has become dangerously well-treated makes plenty of appeal at 9/1 in the 9.10 at Pontefract today now eased in grade.
The Ollie Pears trained four-year-old won two of his five start last season, landing a class 5 at Ripon off 76 become going on to score in a class 4 at Hamilton off 80.
He started this campaign off on a makr of 85 as a result and has only managed to make the frame once in six starts.
However, they have all been class 4 contests and when he did make the frame he ran very well to finish fourth of 16 to Paddy Power at York off 79 in a race that has thrown-up plenty of subsequent winners.
Dandy Highwayman is now able to race off just 74 – a career low – and that gives him outstanding claims at the weights on the pick of his form.
He also now drops back down into class 5 company in which he has won twice and been placed once from three starts.
So taking everything he looks to have plenty going for him in this and well worth a wager at the odds on offer.
