Ifwecan has been running well of late and looks worth siding with at 7/1 in the 4.00 at Musselburgh today.
Mark Johnston’s gelding won on his sole start over course and ditsnace 14 months ago when bolting up by 5 lengths off a mark of 81.
He went on to finish a solid second of 13 to Velox in a class 2 contest at Sandown off 94, and also ran very well to finish fourth of 13 to Safety Check at York off the same rating in another class 2 affair.
The four-year-old’s form then tailed-off but he tooktaof a drop in the weights to register an easy 2 1/4 length success in the Cralisle Bell off a mark of 82.
Since then he has put in a number of creditable efforts, including when runner-up in a class 2 contest at Newmarket off 88 and a decent seventh of 16 to Mister Music at Goodwood off the same rating.
Although well-beaten last time out at Chester, the return to a right hand track will suit and this class 3 contest isn’t as strong as some of the races he has been competing in of late.
A mark of 89 also looks workable on the pick of his form, and this looks a nice opening for Ifwecan to get back in the winners’ enclosure.
