Inquisitress has a very good record at Brighton and with ground conditions in her favoru makes plenty of appeal at 7/1 in the 8.00.
John Bridger’s mare is a course and distance winner who also has numerous placed efforts to her name at the seaside venue, and only narrowly failed to score an overdue success here three starts ago when going down by a short-head to Custom House in a driving finish.
She runs off just a 2lb higher mark this evening, but is still 1lb lower than her last success at the track last June.
That gives her every chance from a handicapping perspective and I think it’s fair to say that this race does lack any real strength in depth.
A line can be put through half of the field, and her main rivals all have questions to answer.
Although the selection is exposed and getting no younger at the age of eight, this is her grade and she is still more than capable of winning a race of this nature.
She also has proven form on soft ground, and everything looks in place for a huge run.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Inquisitress (7/1 Betfred – BOG)
