Intisaab looks to have got in lightly on handicap debut in the 1.45 at Doncaster today and at 7/1 looks weighted to take all the bearing.
The gelding finsihed placed in his first three starts last season in Ireland when trained by Dermot Weld, getting beat just 1/2 a length by Shemshal on the last occasion.
The winner is rated 83 on the level, and the third home Quartz – who finished 1 3/4 lengths beghind Intisaab – went on to win his next two starts and is now rated 99 on the turf and 100 on the all-weather.
That is strong form and makes Intisaab’s opening mark of 79 look very exploitable.
Intisaab went on to open his account on his final start last season when digging deep to beat Chiclet by 3/4 of a length over 6f at Listowel, and the step up to 7f looks sure to suit.
He also now makes his debut for the shrewd David O’Meara who has done well with similar recuits from the same source, and kicked off the new flat season with a winner yesterday.
Intisaab is also the most unexposed runner in the line-up and open to plenty of improvement, and with Danny Tudhope in the saddle looks the one they all have to beat.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Intisaab (7/1 Betfred, Coral, Paddy Power, William Hill – BOG)
