Italian Riviera looks to have plenthy going for him in the 4.10 at Catterick today.
Ken Slack’s nine-year-old scored over course and distance back in October 2016 off a mark of 56 and went on to land two handicap hurdles at this venue off 105 adn 113.
He also ran well over course and distance last August when a 2 1/2 lenth runner-up off 62.
Italian Riviera is now abel to race off the same rating having been beaten just a lenbgth into fourth on the Tapeta at Newcastle eaerlier in the month off 8lb higher.
That was his first run following 244 days on the sidelines and he looks sure to strip for for the outing.
The return to this venue is also a plus and there aren’t any unexposed types lurking in this handicap.
Italian Riviera looks on a handy mark to me and well worth a wager to land the spoils.
