Itstimeforapint has slipped to a handy mark and looks worth a wager in the 2.10 at Bangor today now fitted with the blinkers for the first time.

Lucinda Russell’s 10-year-old posted some solid efforts in staying handicap chases last year, including when third in the Scottish Borders National at Kelso.

He backed that up with a fine second at the same venue before running really well in North Yorkshire Grand National Handicap Chase at Catterick when a 1/2 length third of 14 to Straidnahanna off a mark of 118.

Itstimeforapint raced prominently throughout and stuck to the task well until losing second near the finish.

He has disapointed in two starts thos season, but has quickly been dropped 9lb as a result ans is now able to race off 112.

That makes him a big player at the weights on the pick of his form if the first time blinkers have a positive effect and the yard does well with it’s rare runners at the venue.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Itstimeforapint (13/2 generally available – use BOG firms)
