Jac The Legend is potentially well-treated over hurdles and looks worth siding with at 11/2 in the 12.40 at Huntingdon today now partnered by Richard Johnson.
Stuart Gollings’ gelding has yet to make any impact in four runs over hurdles, but it’s still early days and the form of his bumper second to Ballybolley at Southwell is strong form.
The five-year-old went down by just a neck to Nigel Twiston-Davies’ charge who went on to land another two contests – including the Champion bumper at Aintree.
If Jac The Legend can reproduce anything like that run over hurdles then he should be capable of winning a weak class 4 contest of this nature off a mark of just 100.
The booking of Johnson to do the steering is cerainly a positive as he has a 33% strike rate when teaming up with the yard in the past 12 months (2 winners and 1 placed from 6 rides), and was onboard their last hurdles winner.
Gollings is also in decent form having saddled three winners from his last 10 runners, and everything points to a big run.
