Joanne One looks to have plenty going for her in the 2.55 at Newbury today and makes plenty of appeal at 15/2.

The mare had some smart form to her name in two bumper runs in Ireland, and after winning a bumper on her first start for Jamie Snowdon looked a smart prospect when landing her first two starts over hurdles.

She bolted up by 9 lengths in the first of those at Ffos Las and then followed up in facile stayle when landing a 12-runner contest at Exeter by the same margin.

The six-year-old then ran a really solid race on her handicap debut when going down by 1 1/4 lengths to Lamps at Market rasen off a mark of 120, and the winner has since gone on to score twice.

The selection then disappointed slighjtly last time out when finishing sixth of 14 to Zulku Oscar in a “jumpers bumper” at Kempton, but this race has always been the target and that run should have put her spot on.

Her current mark of 123 also looks very workable, especially as she is lightly raced and looks to have plenty more to offer.

With condtions fine, and Brendan Powell in the saddle, everything looks in place for a huge run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Joanne One (15/2 bet365, BetVictor, Hills – BOG)
